Canonical is a design token manager built to streamline building a design system and make the extraction of the tokens as simple as possible. It puts the spotlight for fast-moving front-end teams that require the styling definitions established as the "canonical" reference to implement fast while wireframing is done in parallel by the design team. It supports different export formats starting from simple CSS rulesets to JSON files that can be parsed easily by pre-configured applications. The goal I had in mind is to make this the HUB for teams where the styling "TRUTH" should reside and be extracted from.
